GPI Leads UN Women Nigeria Strategic Plan Consultation

Girls' Power Initiative (GPI) led the UNWomen Nigeria stakeholders' consultation on the development of her strategic plan for Nigeria from 2023 to 2027 at the level of geopolitical zones. This was held in Cross River State, Nigeria on July 28th, 2022.

        

The meeting was to engage government MDAs, CSOs, Media, and community representatives on 5 major areas of discussion. They were:

I. Normative policy and institutional frameworks II. Programmatic actions III. Coordination mechanism IV. Partnership and resources V. Social norms and cultural practices

This Consultation will enable the achievement of UN Women Nigeria priority result areas within the context of her thematic areas, and set up a strategic plan for awareness and improvement of the policies guarding women's role in the country and beyond for the next five years (2023 - 2027).
