Vacancy for Female Field Officers

 

Girls’ Power Initiative (GPI) Nigeria is an independent, not-for -profit, non- governmental youth development organization. GPI has vacant positions for 2 field Officers in her Edo State Centre to execute a new project she is executing with ECPAT-France titled ‘Don’t Pay With Your Life’

Vacant Positions:

  1. Field Officers – Females (2)

Location:

Edo Central

Responsibilities

The field officers shall be responsible for the successful organization of project based activities in  the LGAs of the above location. These include and are not limited to the mobilisation for and execution of:

  1. Sensitisation activities in schools on human trafficking and irregular migration
  2. Training of Peer Educators in schools and Peer Education activities
  3. Community Town hall meetings, Market Campaigns, etc.
  4. Survey administration and efficient Reporting

Requirement

 Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications to include:

  • Community mobilisation skills.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current community challenges and opportunities relating to irregular Migration and Human trafficking.
  • Proficiency in word processing, Email and use of Social Media.
  • Possession of a smart phone, laptop or access to personal computer
  • Fluency in Esan Language, HND and B.SC holders shall be an added advantage.
  • Residence in the LGAs is compulsory

Personal Characteristics 

  • Behave Ethically: Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others are consistent with these standards and align with the values of GPI
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of GPI interventions in Esan land.

Working Conditions

  • Field Officers shall work from their homes in one of the LGAs they are employed to cover.
  • Field Officers shall work a standard 40 hour week which may spread across office hours, evenings and weekends.

Remuneration: Competitive and Negotiable

Duration: 6 Months
