After the meeting, a working committee with representatives from GPI and ministry of education was set up. The memorandum of understanding between GPI and ministry of education on the process was also signed. The working committee was to oversee the identification and the training of experts and teachers in the carrier subjects of social studies and integrated science. A workshop was later organised by GPI for identified integrated science and social studies teachers from various schools in the state. The objectives of the one-week workshop was to integrate family life and HIV education into social studies and integrated science schemes of work for the junior secondary schools in the state. The training of the subject teachers in junior secondary schools in the state had been schedule to commence in 2008.
